The Bartlett Family Adventure

The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

Song of the day

Today's song has been one of my favorites since I was in elementary school (many many moons ago). I heard it on the voice I was filled with all of those years of love and faith and hope and wonder. So today is five versions of one song Ave Maria. Go ahead choose one or all. Close your eyes and let it fill you up, surround you, and comfort you.

After all of these years of loving this song today was the first time I ever thought to find out what the lyrics were. So here you are the lyrics in Latin and the English translation.

Latin TextAve Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.
English Translation
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and in the hour of our death. Amen.

Something tells me I was meant to be catholic my whole life. I hope you have a truly amazing day filled with Peace, Love, and Laughter. Be well my friends.
