The Bartlett Family Adventure

The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

Texas

In comes sudden news that we are moving to the Great state of Texas, and out goes some of our plans for the year. A new move is a new start and a new start is a scary prospect. I worry about how my five year old will handle the move away from his friends. I am excited that we get to live in San Antonio, OK well at best a suburb of San Antonio but if we are really lucky we will have a little bit of land to homestead a short drive to the city. They have the Third largest Zoo in the country and it is not a lot to purchase a season pass for the family. Plus they have what sounds like a wonderful Farmers market where everything including grass fed beef is from a 150 mile radius.
I am going to miss the beautiful beaches in Panama City Fl and am planning on coming back to vacation in the future. Right now our future is full of hope and a second bathroom.
More ramblings to come..

Feb Goal update

Family goals

1. No credit use- We are still on the right path and haven't used credit at all! This is a great rewarding feeling. We can do this.

2. To pay off 5 of 6 bills- Thank God for Taxes and pure motivation so from a total start debt of $17928.60 down to $12671. We found out that we are moving to Texas so we are saving all of our extra payments in hopes of buying our Next Home.

3. Vegetable garden that we can use for meals.- We are moving in a matter of months so we are no longer adding to our garden here. We will be starting a more permanent one in Texas.

4. Potty training James. Is on hold until we move to make moving easier for him.

5. Damian reading chapter books, Damian loves reading Chapter books now. He gets so excited when he finishes a whole book.

My goals

1. Get Fit with good friends- I am not going to lie, I have fallen off of the wagon a little.

2. To be able to run 6 miles in 1hour. Haven't been on the treadmill in weeks.

3.Be a better mother- I try, and I think that is what counts.

4.Be a better house keeper- More to follow...
