The Bartlett Family Adventure

The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

March 7

7. Fear

It is the time of year where I start planning the next school year. This year for the first time I am planning two different grades. This is only part of their work I still need to pick up some workbooks for James and I am waiting on a couple of Damian's books to arrive in the mail. This is when the fear and worry starts to kick in. Am I doing it right. Oh how I wish to be an unschooler, but even though I am laid back I get freaked out if the boys seem behind in basic studies.

The note card I made for Damian says:

Be Happy
Bring Happy
Make a choice to do better

I hope that your day is filled with inspiration, love, and laughter. Be well my friends.

  1. I hear you there! Very intimidating, and always the question of 'Am I doing it right?'....and I haven't even started yet!

HAVE NO FEAR!! You are doing great, and they will learn so much this school year!
