The Bartlett Family Adventure

The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

March 2

2. I made this!:

It's a little red bird, I like to call him Carl, James likes to call him birdie. This type of crochet is called Amigurumi. I think that I could make this bird smaller by using a fingerling weight yarn or embroidery thread, a very teeny tiny crochet hook and possibly a magnifying glass. I will let you in on a little secret. lean in close. This is super easy. Like it is made with two stitches, a single crochet and single crochet together (decrease). So if you have ever wanted to give it a try. I am sure that you could find helpful videos on how to make amigurumi on youtube or you could take the class called Amigurumi-Woodland-Animals at http://www.craftsy.com. The class will help you to read a pattern and show you basic stitches that you will need for all of the animals. Go ahead you can do it!
I hope your day is filled with inspiration, love, and laughter. Be well my friends.
