The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

Hot Chocolate

or liquid heaven. It was chilly this morning and our go to drink is home made Hot Chocolate. I want to share it with you, if you have a favorite recipe go ahead make a cup.

Here is my recipe for Heaven.

4 cups Whole Milk
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup coco powder (your favorite kind or Hersey brand is great.)
Extract (Vanilla, Peppermint, coconut, hazelnut, raspberry, orange, Pick a flavor that you like)
Milk chocolate chips (maybe half a cup. But I just pour them into the pan until it looks about right)

Put all of the ingredients except for the extract flavoring, in a sauce pot over medium heat and whisk until the mixture is smooth. Take it off of the heat and add you extract flavoring. Yum!

      Once you do you will neveer ever go back to premade hot chocolate mixes. It is sinful.
