The Bartlett Family Adventure

The Bartlett Family Adventure is all about the moments that take my breath away as I grow in the glory of God, and live my life to the best of my ability while raising two rowdy boys. This blog is not just about me, it also includes stories of my family's daily adventures. We home school our boys, are trying to grow our fruits and vegetables, we are all on a journey to God, we are trying to live sustainably, and most importantly love the life we lead. Sometimes we stumble, but mostly I like to think we prevail. I am blogging to keep a sort of shared journal. Our life may be messy but it is perfect.

Choose joy

Today I am starting a little project to help my family to find a little peace in their hearts. We are doing the Joy Dare. Finding things to be thankful for and actively trying to be kinder to one another. I do not know if it will help, although I really hope that it does, I do know it can not hurt.

Here is my plan:

Joy Dare
Psalm 69:30
I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving

I am going to have the boys find the day's  gifts to be thankful for.
They will have to say one nice thing about everyone in the house.
What they can do to be nice to at least one person.
And list one thing that another person did that was nice for them.

My goal here is to change our attitudes to a positive outlook.

I hope your day is filled with inspiration, love, and laughter. Be well my friends.
